Our Mission
OsNosh are passionate about building and strengthening our local community. We do this by….
Providing a welcoming and inclusive indoor and outdoor space for our community
using creative cooking to educate and inspire
creating a space to learn, grow and belong
fighting food poverty, promoting food equality and preventing waste through surplus food recycling.
Our Impact…
Since January 2025 we have cooked and served 500 meals a month in our Community Cafe and redistributed 2000 kg of surplus food a month (that’s almost the weight of an Indian elephant!)
Whilst we are good at keeping a tally on the amount of food surplus we are saving from waste, the importance of creating community and a sense of belonging, friendship and support that comes with it… Well, you can’t put a number that!
Our Story
Ben & Tom Wilson started OsNosh in 2018 with a weekly community meal in a local church hall, providing a space for everyone to sit together and help prevent food waste
We now run a Community lunch and share table 3 days a week, serving over 200 people a week, supported by 40 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds.
Since we launched this sustainable community project the response from local charities
and businesses has been overwhelmingly positive and heartwarming. Every week we provide meals and fresh produce to our local community, saving food from going to waste, and sharing our culinary knowledge, with ways to cook up tasty and nutritious food.
