“Waste Not, Want Not”

Our Impact…

Every week our volunteer team collects and redistributes 200 kg of food that would otherwise have gone to waste, from local supermarkets and suppliers.

This food is redistributed to local families, young people and individuals, reaching around 80 people a week.

Our volunteer team cook 30 meals a week to feed local families that are supported by the Oswestry Food bank, and provides recipe leaflets to help those families learn how to cook those meals for themselves.

OsNosh is a social enterprise which aims to prevent good food going to waste. We do this by:

  • Running workshops and classes on how to cook tasty, nutritious food on a budget

  • Collecting and rescuing surplus food which would otherwise go to waste

  • Running share tables and a veg bag scheme, in and around Oswestry, to redistribute rescued food to our local community
